Earl is hit by a car and he lost the ticket in this process as he lies unconscious in the street.
While recovering at hospital, his hospital TV told him about the Karma (fate) that his bad luck is the result of bad things that he did. Earl realizes that fate punishes everyone for all bad things he/she ever done in his/her life. Earl learns that to get good in his life, he must have to do good things. After understanding the reality of life, Earl thanks to Carson Daly, who attributes his success to doing well for others. He decides to dedicate his life to making rights of all the wrongs that he did. My Name is Earl, shows the journey as Earl tries to improve his life.
